Radiant Heat Installions
Tubing can be installed on the sub-floor decking. Pour
light weight concrete over it for easy installation of
any flooring material on top.
When there is a minimal floor depth on a sub-floor, Quick
Track can be used to install radiant heating. Half-inch
heat transfer panels that are glued or screwed to the sub-floor minimize
impact on the door height. This installation method is often
used in remodeling.
Our
most common installation in both new construction and remodel/retrofit
is the joist plate method. Six-inch wide four-foot long aluminum
heat transfer plates are screwed under the sub-floor on either side
of the floor joist.
